Emmy-nominated filmmaker and Webby Awards founder Tiffany Shlain is one of Newsweek’s “women shaping the 21st century,” and is on NPR’s list of Best Commencement Speeches, Ever.  Four of Tiffany’s films have premiered at Sundance, including her feature documentary Connected: An Autoblogography about Love, Death & Technology. The US State Department’s has selected three of Shlain’s films (Connected, Brain Power: From Neurons to Networks & The Science of Character), to represent America at embassies around the world. Her AOL original series The Future Starts Here explores creativity, science and technology and has received over 40 million views and was nominated for an Emmy Award in the category New Approaches: Arts, Lifestyle, Culture. She runs a nonprofit in San Francisco called Let It Ripple: Mobile Films for Global Change, whose films combined have been translated into over 70 languages. The nonprofit hosts an annual Character Day, where they provide free films and resources worldwide about Character Education. Her two new films “The Adaptable Mind” about 21st Century skills and “The Making of a Mensch” will premiere on Sept 18th for Character Day 2015 at thousands of schools and organizations globally.
